Warriors BBQ Bash

Tickets are $25 for Adults, ($10 for 12 and under) and gives you entry into the Event, Sampling from each of our Veterans Campers with sides. There will be live Music entertainment also. 

You will be automatically entered into several drawings we will have throughout the day giving away items from Oklahoma Joe Smokers, Nine Line Apparel, Drip EZ BBQ supplies, Grill Your Ass Off Sauces and Spices and Heritage Distilling Whiskey commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

We will have Craft Beers, Water and Soft Drinks available for a separate purchase. We will have some young ladies from the American Heritage Girls Troop selling desserts as a fundraiser.

We request that Legionnaires attending the Event purchase their tickets online ahead of the Event here https://veterans-bbq-camp.square.site/

The American Legion is a great Sponsor of the Veterans BBQ Camp veteransbbqcamp.org so we invite Post 281 to come and set up an information booth representing the American Legion.

Rural Hill Farm https://ruralhillfarm.com/ is a beautiful venue with plenty of open space so I would encourage Legionnaires to bring some folding Camping chairs for their convenience and comfort. There will be tables and chairs set up for dining on the BBQ.

Service Dogs are allowed and encouraged. Other dogs/pets please stay home for this one.

This event is open to the Public so please share with your Family….Friends….Churches and local Businesses and encourage them to attend.

Donation Center for Hurricane Helene Victims

Lebanon Fire Department is hosting a donation center for the victims of the recent disaster of Hurricane Helene. The drop-off location will be at LFD Headquarters, located at 520 Coles Ferry Pike. This location will receive donations from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM until further notice. 

Please note, that while local communities appreciate the volunteer spirit during disasters and emergencies, it is important to refrain from sending resources that have not been requested by state or local authorities.

If you would like to bring donations to our upcoming picnic (10/5/24), and/or to our next post meeting (10/8/24), we’ll deliver them to the donation center.

Veteran Fall Festival

Dear Veterans,

You’re invited to join us for some good ole’ fall time fun and Veteran community outreach! 

The Veteran Fall Festival takes place Friday, Oct. 18, 2024 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. CT at the historic Alvin C. York VA Medical Center inside the quadrangle. Expect to be blown away with dozens of VA resources and services, community partners, and other fall time festivities.

The Veteran Fall Festival is exclusively open to Veterans and their families. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our Picnic Date and Location have changed

We’re now hoping 5 Oct 24 will have good weather and we can have some fun at the Cedar Creek Campground Pavilion, 9264 Saundersville Rd Mt. Juliet, TN 37122 beginning at Noon.

Have you already signed up? If you had already signed up for the original date, we’ve attempted to recreate your RSVP. Please let us know if things have changed and you won’t be able to attend.

Picnic Postponed

Due to the pending messy weather that is headed our way over the next few days, we are postponing our annual Picnic that is scheduled for this Saturday and moving the picnic to a new date of 5 OCT. 

The location for the picnic on 5 OCT 2024 is now going to be Cedar Creek Campground, at 9264 Saundersville Road, Mt. Juliet, which is on Old Hickory Lake.

It is a large recreation area with a large pavilion and a large grill, a playground, and a sand beach on the lake.

If you would, share this information with anyone that you thought was planning to attend this Saturday’s event, so they get the “word”.

Some of you may have received a reminder email from our ‘SignUpGenius’ which still had the original date and location in it. I was able to edit the title of the event which has the updated date and location. The date and location further down in the event can not be changed with out starting a new event and we hope it’s not too confusing. Get ready to dance, mingle, and enjoy delicious food and drinks, all for a great cause. Let’s unite as a community to honor and give back to those who have served our country. Don’t miss out on this special event! You have the unique opportunity to help our office continue to provide emergency assistance to local Veterans experiencing an immediate emergent need pertaining to housing, food, medicines, and transportation. Our program operates solely off donations and all proceeds will go towards the program. We greatly appreciate your continued support!
