Good morning members, update on Covid 19 vaccine 

Tennessee Valley Healthcare System is hosting walk-in vaccine clinics Tuesday, March 23 through Friday, March 26 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Nashville and Murfreesboro campuses.

Enrolled Veterans of all ages are welcome to attend.

If Veterans have a vaccine appointment, please tell them to keep it. They’ll be seen at their slotted time. Enrolled Veterans who are unable to attend can request an appointment by signing up at VA’s Keep Me Informed tool. They will receive a confirmation email once registered. If they do not, please try again by selecting “continue without signing in.”

TVHS expands COVID-19 vaccines to enrolled Veterans of all ages

TVHS expands COVID-19 vaccines to enrolled Veterans of all ages

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Valley Healthcare System is offering COVID-19 vaccines to enrolled Veterans of all ages starting Friday, March 12.

To request a vaccine appointment, enrolled Veterans should use VA’s “Keep Me Informed” tool or contact their health care provider. TVHS Veterans can also attend the walk-in vaccine clinic Saturday, March 13 from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Nashville and Murfreesboro campuses.

TVHS has administered more than 27,000 doses using Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines. For more information on TVHS vaccine updates and walk-in clinics, visit www.tennesseevalley.va.gov/services/covid-19-vaccines.asp.

Veterans who wish to enroll in VA health care can call 1-800-228-4973 and press 4 or visit www.tennesseevalley.va.gov/patients/eligibility.asp.

TVHS is an integrated tertiary health care system comprised of two hospitals, the Alvin C. York Campus in Murfreesboro and the Nashville Campus, as well as more than a dozen community-based outpatient clinics located in Tennessee and Kentucky. TVHS provides ambulatory care, primary care, and secondary care in acute medicine and surgery, specialized tertiary care, transplant services, spinal cord injury outpatient care, and a full range of extended care and mental health services.

March 2021 Newsletter

Fellow Legionnaires, family and friends:

Here we go. We will meet on 9 March at the Senior Center in Mount Juliet 6-8 pm. Our Executive Committee and I have put in place plans for hopefully a better outcome in 2021. We sincerely hope that this newsletter finds you and your families all doing well and most of you will have received your COVID-19 Vaccination or at least have it scheduled. I have sent numerous emails to those have provided information on where and when to get the vaccinations. This include both local medical facilities and the VA TVHS campuses in Murfreesboro and Nashville.

The Mt. Juliet Senior Center has reopened for business and has welcomed our Post to hold its meetings again. By the way, they are selling Reverse Raffle Tickets for $50. Come join us on 9 March and purchase one…
